Every time someone trusts me with their thoughts, experiences, or observations is a touch point for human connection and an opportunity not only for empathy or validation, but for transformation. As in any relationship, both researcher and informant come away changed.

I’ve been preoccupied with menopause lately — as an experiencer, researcher, and writer. While composing a piece still in progress, I’ve come from feeling isolated to being part of something big. I’m also learning a LOT and want to share a few reflections and resources.

Surveys. How can we make them less extractive, more generative…and fun?

Well, I did try—throughout the night and again in the morning—to spot the green comet but saw nothing of the kind. At the same time…it got me looking up into the night sky, didn’t it?

If your dreams for 2024 seem achingly familiar or New Year’s resolutions feel like they’re retreading old ground, it’s okay. We just don’t live and grow in one-year cycles!

Writing is kind of my jam. But in times of diminishing attention spans, language has a lot less space to work its magic.
